Counts reflect appearances in reported decisions only — unreported matters, settlements, and advisory work are not included. Counsel are counted whether they appear for a private client or as prosecution or government counsel, because all appear on the record of a reported judgment; the count measures activity in reported litigation, not availability for private engagement or case outcomes. This is a descriptive count of activity by reported case volume, not an assessment of quality or standing.
